Presentation of the NGO "Agir En faveur  de l’Environnement".

In the framework of actions undertaken lay the NGO AFE in order to refresh the Civil Society actors, I personally nosh to dedicate myself to bring wide explanation on our NGO, well as its chronology, distractions actions and partner ship are concerned, but its difficulties to overcome some of its perspectives.

With regards to the go to the Government’s efforts to improve the civil Society, causing the creation a Ministry in Charge with NGOS AFE is committed to reach its goals.

CHRONOLOGY.   

• Created on August 8th 1999by a panel of executives coming from all the regions of the country.
• Official acknowledgement, receip nber 001/MIPT/DAPLP/SLPof January 9th 2001.
• Foundation on January 2nd 2002 of a network “National NGOS counceil support to Economic and social Development (CONADES) gathering 120 members of different components of the Civil Society.

PARTICULAR STATUTS

• Public use organ status, officially given on February 28th 2007 decree nber 0072/2007 of  March 19th 2007.
• Observant status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council dated September 29th 2005.

ACCREDITATION

• Accredited in the field of environment to the United Nations during their fourth world preparatory session held in New York in June 2002.
• Accredited to the World Summit on the Information Society during the United National General Assembly held I New York in 2003.
• Accredited on March 16th 2007 to the International Institution “Global Environment Facility” (G E F) in Washington.

DISTINCTION

• Medal of gratitude of the: Mauritanian Federation of Disabled Sport.
• Medal of gratitude of Mauritanian National Army.
• Expression of gratitude of Teyarett Commune in Nouakchott

ACTION

The NGO « Agir en Faveur de l’Environnement » Field of activity potentially lends to the strengthening of two essentials goals in the National life:  The preservation of the Environment and the social development promotion.

Preservation of the environment

• Contribution to the regeneration of Natural heritage.
• Participation to the rational management of environment  resources (fauna and flora ).
• support to the fight against desertification.
• Promotion of the Natural environment regeneration
• Strengthening of healthiness in natural environments : Earth, 
• Oasis,  Coast  and marine.
• Popularization, training and sensitization in terms of environment preservation .

Social Development promotion

• Underprivileged sustainable living conditions Improvement.
• Potentials strengthening for self-sufficiency in communities
• Support to the fight against poverty.
• Contribution to the improvement of health Care
• Meaningful support to the Educational System.
• Protection of consumers’ rights.
• Dialogue and consultation promotion with public participants.
• Popularization, training and sensitization in terms of citizens’ education.
